In a unexpected crossover event that breaks usual expectations, Ubisoft has revealed an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.
Strange Questline Revealed
According to the official announcement, "A mysterious confrontation leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where rumors of forbidden practices and monstrous transformations reverberate through the shadows." The plot features a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her companion from a clandestine sect.
The questline centers on "bizarre tests and a monstrous enemy" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Familiar Places and Changes
The preview features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview finishes with a dramatic moment showing a character, probably the captive, morphing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Rewards and Additional Features
Players who finish the adventure will obtain an exclusive katana together with several items secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, including:

This update also brings the game's newest free story content, titled "The Enigma."
